This is breath taking! Is this a variety that grows around your place - beautiful!
Yes it is a variety that does well in the Hilo area. Likes semi shade and damp surroundings. My other favorite is torch ginger, especially the pink but it is not blooming yet.

Carlae, Your husband's picture is beautiful. Thanks for sharing it. We are very lucky here to live in a place where so many beautiful things grow without much assistance! I usually see at least one jaw dropping sight every day. Let me know when you come back to the island and we can get together!
